Artmosphere hosts band battle in December

This holiday season, Artmosphere is giving local bands and singer/songwriters the chance to prove to themselves and their fans who can give the best performance with its next “Best of the Bands” competition.

The competition begins this Wednesday, Dec. 5, and continues every Wednesday throughout December. A winning musician from each night is decided through a popular vote with the top three finalists performing in front of a panel of judges on Wednesday, Dec. 26.

Winning prizes include an opening gig at Artmosphere on New Year’s Eve along with a party package for 10 band friends and fans complete with champagne, professional photography of said gig including a video recording of the performance. Other prizes include graphic design for band branding, assistance in social media development, a club write-up and referral, and one lucky performer will land a gig at Artmosphere in the spring with the chance to swap with a Baton Rouge band and club for additional exposure.
