The Louisiana Cultural Economy Foundation, a statewide nonprofit organization that supports artistic and cultural endeavors in the state, has set Aug. 31 as the deadline to apply for Economic Opportunity Fund grants. The maximum grant for nonprofit culture groups, individuals and cultural economy businesses is $2,500.

LCEF has teamed up with five regional arts councils including the Acadiana Center for the Arts to distribute the grants, and the group is sponsoring a series of webinars to give groups and individuals insight into the application process.
