The 2012 Latin Music Festival takes over Parc International Saturday from noon to 10 p.m.latin_music_fest_2

The free event featuring live Latin music, activities for children and other cultural amenities is sponsored by the Asociacion Cultural Latino-Acadiana, a Lafayette non-profit that promotes the Hub City’s burgeoning Hispanic population. The festival is underwritten by grants from the Lafayette Convention & Visitors Commission and the Jazz and Heritage Festival of New Orleans.

Here’s the lineup for Saturday.

noon-2 p.m.          DJ music and announcements, concession sales begin

noon-7 p.m.          Children’s activities, face painting, etc.

2-3 p.m.                 Mariachi Jalisco

3:15-4:15 p.m.     Mariachi Jalisco

4:15-4:45 p.m.     Dance Instructor Daniel Gonzales

4:45-5 p.m.          Kuka and Folkloric Dances

5-5:45 p.m.           A Todo Ritmo Band

6-7:15 p.m.            A Todo Ritmo Band

7:15-7:45 p.m.      Daniel Gonzalez, Kuka Folkloric Dance

7:45-8:45 p.m.     Mary Frometa’s Band

9-9:55 p.m.           Mary Frometa’s Band
