Practice your French with a buzz
French just sounds better after a couple of adult beverages, and it’s easier to speak, too: well-lubricated tongue, lips and palate work in harmony to produce the melodious lingo of romance, cheese and public-sector strikes.
No matter your level of proficiency, practice your French with other Francophone-minded folks while imbibing on 2-for-1 drinks during the Franco Happy Hour from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Blue Moon Saloon. There’s no cover charge and a Cajun jam session follows.
David Calhoun and Elizabeth “EB” Brooks are the first two employees of Lafayette Central Park Inc., the nonprofit charged with turning Lafayette Consolidated Government’s 100-acre Johnston Street Horse Farm property into a passive public park.
