The Silverbacks Improv Theatre are trying something new tonight when they present their latest experiment in improv theatre called “Deep Focus.”

This new presentation veers away from the Silverbacks’ usual format in favor of one that plants three improvisers, adorned with period costumes, on stage to develop an improvised dramedy inspired by the likes of the Twilight Zone and Hitchcock Presents, along with the audience’s own suggestions of course. The atmosphere is then complemented with improvised jazz from a small ensemble of musicians.

Find out what the Silverbacks come up with in their latest foray into improv theatre by seeing “Deep Focus” starting at 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at Theatre 810, located at 810 Jefferson St. Tickets are $7, or $5 with a valid student ID, and can be purchased at the Theatre 810 Box Office, or by calling 337-484-0172.
