It’s on, y’all. Fest fIND, our annual Festival International de Louisiana reader contest, is now accepting photo submissions for the Throwback Thursday part of the contest: photos of you and your friends at FILs past, like the fake, poorly Photoshopped image of The IND krewe above.

Email your Throwback Thursday to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. between now and, say, 1 p.m. Thursday. We’ll select a winner based on our secret, random criteria and announce it at 3 p.m. on Facebook. The winner can claim his/her prize pack — a backpack stuffed chockablock full of Festival International and LUS Fiber gear, Brother Dege’s latest CD How to Kill a Horse, Sassafras Jubilee’s brand-spanking new CD Long Time Coming and gift certificates to Pat’s Downtown and Jefferson Street Pub — between 5:45-6 p.m. Thursday at our office on the 500 block of Jefferson Street Downtown.

Shoot a selfie with Sassafras Jubilee (shameless self-promotion alert: that’s Managing Editor Walter Pierce’s band) performing at Scène POPEYES
2:45-3:15 p.m.
And ... shoot a pic with a stilt walker any time including during the Festival Promenade & Tintamarre
4 p.m.
Winners will be announced at 5 p.m.
Prize pickup 5:45-6 p.m.

Group pic at the Tipsy Tent (Scène Fais Do Do) and/or kiddie pics at the Baby Changing Station (also Scène Fais Do Do; no photos of baby wing-wangs or hawty-daws please)
