Pack & Paddle hosts a special night with noted Louisiana photographer and author Greg Guirard. Guirard is known for his books and photography focusing on the Atchafalaya Basin and the unique Cajun culture living within its unique wilderness. See the Basin through Greg's lens as he presents a slide show focusing on the natural beauty of the Basin.
Greg will speak on the past, present and future of the Atchafalaya and the dangers that exist to this unique ecosystem. In addition to the slide show, Guirard will have a book signing for Atchafalaya Autumn IIas well as his other books. The slide show will also present a great opportunity to meet and speak with Guirard before or after the show.
David Calhoun and Elizabeth “EB” Brooks are the first two employees of Lafayette Central Park Inc., the nonprofit charged with turning Lafayette Consolidated Government’s 100-acre Johnston Street Horse Farm property into a passive public park. Calhoun was named executive director, and Brooks is director of planning and design.
