Festival International unveils artwork

Festival International is only a few months away and the organizers of Lafayette’s biggest free festival unveiled all the 2011 artwork for the spring event at the Pin Premiere at the Trynd nightclub on Jan. 27.

This year’s visual artists for the official artwork are Francis Pavy, Kelly Guidry and Donald LeBlanc. The 2011 festival art embodies the joy and excitement of Festival International by using vibrant colors and shapes. The original artwork is up for silent auction and can be viewed at silent auction Gallery 549 (549 Jefferson Street) from Jan. 28 – April 29.

In addition, the official 2011 blinking and cloisonné pins are $10 each and available for purchase online or during Festival. The 2011 festival poster is available for $25 online as well as during the event. And signed and numbered 2011 Festival Poster’s are available for $50 and available only at the Festival International office (735 Jefferson Street, Lafayette).

looks like surfboards. Y'all can say, they are not. They are supposed to be..blah blah...but the fact is, they are surfboards...no surfing in Lafayette...or is there?
