Local artist and blogger Jade Harrington will be featured on tomorrow’s Martha Stewart Show on the Hallmark Channel.
Harrington, also known by her online handle, Jaderbomb, hosts a very popular crafts blog that caught the eyes of Stewart’s producers. If you are friends with her on Facebook you can keep up with her trip in New York today. Today she wrote:
“SO! The producer just called me and told me I will have my own make up artist and hair stylist.. and my own dressing room!!! Aghhhh AND she said she LOVED my Louisiana accent!”
Harrington’s blog followers, her “jaderbombs,” follow her every move as she takes found materials and makes them beautiful as well as taking rather ugly necessities and making them lovely. From adhering Mardi Gras beads to lampshades to pasting pages of a books to an empty creamer bottle to make a face to putting glass beads in an old wine bottle and making a beautiful soap dispenser, Harrington does it all. She also teaches at Painting With a Twist and sells her wares on Etsy.com.
Jade Harrington on Martha Stewart airs at 9 a.m. Louisiana time Oct. 5.
