For June, the Cane Fire Film Series is screening Far Out Isn’t Enough: The Tomi Ungerer Story, detailing the surreal life of one of America’s most subversive artists. 

Vermilionville’s Les Vues Film Series returns for another offering this month with its screening of the Emmy-winning documentary All Over But To Cry.Les Vues

Events taking place this weekend include the annual Acadian Orchid Society’s Annual Show, a Fun Day in Girard Park and a theatre performance for young playwrights by young playwrights.

 

Shadows-on-the-Teche is holding a special two-day history workshop for children to explore what it was like to grow up in 1863.

 

Fresh off its recent merger with the Acadiana Center for the Arts, the nonprofit arts present will bring a variety of performances including dance, chamber music and a Grammy-winning jazz master to the Heymann Performing Arts Center.
