AcA seeking ‘residents’

The Acadiana Center for the Arts is offering a pair of performing arts residences for the 2012-2013 season — an opportunity for performing arts companies in the eight-parish Acadiana region to do a one-week residency at the arts center for developing, rehearsing and performing a play, dance piece of multi-media peformance art project.

Companies selected for the residencies must also offer a community-based education program — master class, outreach, workshop, panel discussion, etc. — as a complement to the residency.

The residencies will be held Sept. 10-16 and Jan. 7-13, 2013. The deadline to apply is Aug. 10. Winners will announced Aug. 24 and Nov. 23.
