KUDOS TO AMAZON

I spend some time looking into the agenda of the Humane Society of the United States, and we should all, as citizens of the United States of America, be frightened should they get a toehold, which it looks as if they are rapidly doing. They are not what they appear to be on the surface and would gradually take away all our rights concerning our animals and fowl. I'm very, very concerned.

I shouldn't be surprised at any retaliation, and I'm most surely not blowing this out of proportion. The Humane Society of the United States is a formidable force that is duping the American public.

Congratulations to Amazon for having the fortitude to stand against the HSUS ("Fightin' Words," Feb. 14). There are thousands of vulgar and obscene publications that degrade women, and the HSUS wants a chicken magazine stopped? Shame on them! Kudos to Amazon.
