The two-day TechSouth Summit kicks off tomorrow morning at the Cajundome Convention Center in Lafayette. The Gulf South's information and technology conference and trade show is geared for any and everyone interested in IT - from CEOs to IT gurus and even curious or casual observers. In addition to the trade show, there will also be panel discussions and the presentation of the Governor's Technology Awards - presented by the Louisiana Technology Council along with TechSouth and Louisiana Economic Development - which recognize the accomplishments of companies making innovative strides. And for the first time this year at TechSouth, representatives from more than 15 cities and 13 countries will be on hand as part of the 21st International SESAME Exchange.
There will soon be a whole lot of shakin’ going on at Benny’s Sportshack Supplement Depot, a new concept by Opelousas native Benny Nele. Located at 2002 Johnston St., the supplement shop, smoothie bar and café, featuring hot off the press paninis and wraps, plans to open in late May.
