He's facing a 16-count federal indictment, but that won't stop U.S. Rep. William Jefferson from seeking re-election to Louisiana's 2nd Congressional District seat. The Times-Picayune reports that Jefferson will seek a 10th term. Despite having his Congressional office raided by the feds in 2006, Jefferson won re-election that year. He has pled not guilty to the bribery charges he faces and has said that there's just a big misunderstanding about the $90,000 in cash found in his freezer - that the money was provided to him by the FBI as part of its plan for Jefferson to hand over to the vice president of Nigeria.
