Ike is expected to enter the Gulf of Mexico tomorrow morning, and current forecasts place the storm's landfall around Corpus Christi, Texas on Saturday morning. Current maximum sustained winds are at 80 mph, and Ike is moving west/northwest at 13 mph. It's expected to continue on that track for the next couple of days, and then turn to the west once it reaches the central Gulf of Mexico. The storm is also expected to intensify once it hits the Gulf and to regain major hurricane status.
