Moreau has filed a claim against Ponti for renovations done to a house he recently bought from the legislator. Moreau contends that there were plumbing problems with the house - not properly repaired by Ponti's Accent Construction Services - that lead to further damages. Moreau is suing for $3,000 in damages, and Ponti is countersuing for $3,000.
Moreau is also the brother of East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Doug Moreau.
David Calhoun and Elizabeth “EB” Brooks are the first two employees of Lafayette Central Park Inc., the nonprofit charged with turning Lafayette Consolidated Government’s 100-acre Johnston Street Horse Farm property into a passive public park. Calhoun was named executive director, and Brooks is director of planning and design.
