WGSO: LSU to hire Trent Johnson as basketball coach
This morning, radio station WGSO of New Orleans is reporting that LSU is poised to introduce Stanford’s Trent Johnson as its next men’s basketball coach.
Johnson compiled a 81-48 record in four seasons at Stanford with three NCAA
tournament appearances, including this year’s trip to the Sweet 16. A
California native, and graduate of Boise State, Johnson will become the first
ever African-American head coach of LSU men’s basketball. Johnson replaces John Brady, who was fired by LSU in February.
David Calhoun and Elizabeth “EB” Brooks are the first two employees of Lafayette Central Park Inc., the nonprofit charged with turning Lafayette Consolidated Government’s 100-acre Johnston Street Horse Farm property into a passive public park. Calhoun was named executive director, and Brooks is director of planning and design.
