Two free educational seminars about the recently discovered Haynesville Shale, a large natural gas deposit in northwest Louisiana, will be held next Tuesday and Wednesday in Shreveport and Natchitoches, respectively. The June 24 seminar is from 6-7:30 p.m. at LSU-S and features two local speakers, landman Bryan Hanks of Beta Land Services and attorney Tommy Smart of the Onebane Law Firm. It is sponsored by the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association and LSU-S.
