UL running back Tyrell Fenroy has been named one of 10 semifinalists for the prestigious Doak Walker Award, presented annually to the country's top RB. Fenroy is the nation’s leader in active career rushing yards with a total of 4,448 yards in his four years with the Cajuns.
The three finalists will be announced Monday, Nov. 24, and the 2008 Doak Walker Award recipient will be announced live on The Home Depot ESPNU College Football Awards Thursday, Dec. 11. Read more about the award here.
There will soon be a whole lot of shakin’ going on at Benny’s Sportshack Supplement Depot, a new concept by Opelousas native Benny Nele. Located at 2002 Johnston St., the supplement shop, smoothie bar and café, featuring hot off the press paninis and wraps, plans to open in late May.
