“We are pleased to have such a great cross-section of leaders in the industry who can offer a broad spectrum for area business decision-makers as they plan the year ahead,” says Independent Weekly Publisher Steve May. “We expect lots of questions from the audience.” The luncheon event begins at 11:45 a.m. Individual tickets are $40, with tables of eight available for $330.

This is the final event in the 2008 Lecture Series, which is sponsored by IberiaBank. “This year’s lecture series has addressed several topics important to Acadiana’s future,” says Pete Yuan, IberiaBank’s Lafayette market president, “but nothing right now is more topical than the state of the energy sector of our economy.” The law firms of Jones Walker and Longman Russo, which will merge on Jan. 1, are supporting sponsors for this lecture. “The oil and gas industry is such a vital part of the state and local economy and directly impacts all of us,” says attorney Gary Russo. “We look forward to discussing the industry’s role in our ever-changing economy.”

Acadiana Business, an Independent publication, is also a supporting sponsor.
