Local financial advisers weigh in on Stanford scheme

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. That's the general sentiment among a handful of Lafayette financial advisers who never bought the returns Stanford Group Company touted for its offshore CDs.

But there were more red flags than the high returns when it came to how R. Allen Stanford and his team of financial advisers conducted business. Read more in this month's Acadiana Business.
