UL plan avoids layoffs, furloughs

UL Lafayette officials yesterday outlined a plan to trim the university's budget in light of the $14.7 million funding reduction from the state. The plan also includes measures to increase revenues.

No layoffs are in the proposal, and while university officials did develop a furlough program at the UL System's request, UL President Joe Savoie says he is taking other steps to avoid implementing it. Read today's Advocate for more details.

No layoffs? How a about reduction in pay for the t-boys? No, No, I have a better idea. Raise student fees, tuition, tickets, etc.,etc.!! No place like Lafayette my friend.
