Sittig tapped to oversee LOOP
Eunice native Dale Siting, a member of the Public Service Commission has been named executive director of the Louisiana Offshore Terminal Authority. He will be overseeing the Louisiana Offshore Oil Port, a deep water oil terminal off the coast of Port Fouchon that receives about 13 percent of the nation’s foreign oil. Siting, a former state rep, has served on the Public Service Commission since 1995.
Pat Manuel, also of Eunice, has been tapped as the interim appointment by Governor Jindal. Manuel is the president and owner of Manco Vegetation Management and a member of the board of directors at Tri-Parish National Bank. Manuel will serve until a special election can be called. He will not be a candidate in the special election.
