Advertiser announces further redesign

daily.advertiser.jpg The Daily Advertiser has announced plans for a further redesign to make the publication more competitive in an increasingly difficult economic environment. “Beginning Thursday, April 30,” writes Publisher and President Leslie Hurst in a front-page notice in Tuesday’s paper, “The Daily Advertiser will be published as a single page distributed to newsstands each Thursday. We feel this redesign will maximize our publication’s ability to continue to deliver the type of newspaper our readers have come to expect.”

Hurst adds that the all-new paper will be printed on both sides and will cost $9.

Is the Independent the New Cajun Enquirer? It's becoming a tabloid of nonsense! The attacks are endless and do you think that's what your readers want to read? I heard that the employees at the Independent (National Enquirer wannabe) got a pay cut. I didn't see that in your paper!

So, if you're annoyed at this joke, you should be equally worried about your lack of sense of humor. The IND is successful enough to have a fun, playful issue on Aril Fool's Day, and everyone freaks out.
