Festival International is still looking for volunteers. A volunteer orientation will be held today at The Ballroom (417 Jefferson Street) in downtown Lafayette from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. At the orientation, volunteers will learn about all of the opportunities associated with Festival International (April 22 – 26). A free official volunteer T-Shirt and other exclusive Festival International merchandise will be available for preview. I am very disappointed in our governor's proposed budget cuts regarding the arts. Does he not realize the amount of revenue collected from our festivals?
