<description>A few weeks ago I printed this article having a premonition: &quot; Are we trying to privatize Louisiana Public Education or literally do away with it in the name of balancing the budget? Beware parents, there may be vouchers today, but how long will it take until the government leaves the cost of education on your tab?! Believe me they have done it over and over again in the past with state or federal mandated programs. They promise but do not keep their word. After a very brief time, they decide to stop the funding and let local school boards and tax providers take over, still keeping the programs under their supervision mind you. Who once said politicians do not keep their campaign promises, nor do they keep their word. Indeed now, in the name of becoming fiscally responsible, they want to funnel more of our tax dollars to their cronies to spend on frivolous programs...like let's build a newer golf course for our retirement paid by the tax payers of course!&quot; - Christian W.
