My friends are sometimes shocked when I tell them that I am a true republican at heart (not the ultra conservative Christian right); the government should have NO say into the affairs of my private life. A true spirited republican could not care less if I want to marry man; it is a personal matter &amp; beyond the government's authority to control my pursuit of happiness.
