<description>Anyone but me noticed the 'new' Republican party's differences from the way they used to be? Once upon a time...not in a far off land, but right here in America, Republicans newly elected to office didn't try to unseat other elected Republicans, especially those who had seats in important committees like Ways and Means, which could benefit the constituents of a their district. Strange times, these...and getting stranger still. This is indicative of the schism in the Republican party, not only at the national, but state levels ...and it goes farther than just what we see in this up and coming challenge. Do some checking...it's interesting. Some folks...think they ought to run the show ...ironically using the same rationale as Malcolm X...'by any means necessary&quot;. That's one of the main things that leaves me, a life-long Republican, cold as a mackerel and leaving this party. I guess Landry's folks have labeled Dr Boustany a &quot;RINO&quot;...or worse, but I'll tell you...in my view, he does an admirable job of representing ALL of the constituents, no matter their party affiliation and the last time I checked...that's what the job is supposed to be about.
