Durel isn't concerned with legal fees. Simply look at the position and legal expense he-Durel-incurred against the three housing authority members last year. Durel took the position that he was right and the judge, after the decision was handed down, was wrong. Joey was held found contempt of court. Durel is an adversary looking for a court date. Makes one wonder if Durel is not related to or comparing notes with Glenn Stewart. - Greg Foreman

It's a shame that one guy in Broussard can damage his city by acting irresponsibly towards his neigbors, who are providing Broussard residents discount-priced municipal services.

However, Mr. Durel is reponsible to the taxpayers of Lafayette and cannot continue to permit Broussard's mayor to cost Lafayette huge sums of money in legal fees and lost LUS revenue.

We don't have any of these problems with Carencro, Youngsville, Duson or Scott, which all cooperate for our mutual benefit.

It's time to stop subsidizing an administration in Broussard which is actively hostile to the interests of Lafayette's residents.

And Mr. Durel should refer the "misappropriation" of LUS water to the Sheriff's Department, District Attorney, Attorney General and Board of Ethics for investigation and prosecution of any criminal or ethical violations.

Enough is enough. - richard thornton

I'm sure this has nothing to do with, "Durel is brother-in-law to Youngsville Mayor Wilson Viator". Should we talk about Durel's dirty laundry? - Matthew Rowzee

Chucky has screwed a lot of people in Broussard all while lining his pockets through his real estate company. Hopefully this move will motivate his constituents to vote him out. - Stafford Barnett
