A nice compromise might be to have separate fully enclosed smoking area, where servers could be protected from the smoke and force the smokers to walk a few feet to get their drinks. Like they used to have in the airports. A few trips to the airport smoking area was enough to convice anyone to quit. He started smoking once he was able to enter a Bar because all "his Friends" smoke in the Bar. They can't buy alcohol either.... Yeah Right!!!!! I smoked for years, quit 15 years ago. Watched my Dad die form smoking. Now I have to watch my son do it. Ban it!!! Die hard smokers will go outside to light up. Kids wanting to "Be Cool" will not go outside to smoke because they want to be seen being cool inside. There should be no reason why a private business owner doesn't have the right to decide whether or not smoking is allowed in his/her PRIVATE business establishment!
