Perhaps the city could withdraw support of facilities in those townships? While I agree it doesn't seem like we have much of a consolidated government I think the article is a wee bit slanted in that Youngsville and Broussard are doing what the article claims they are not. I would much prefer to have one pot for the entire Parish and have true consolidation but you and I know that isn't going to happen anytime soon. Boudreaux has done an amazing job with a shrinking budget and a growing population.
