This is a complete waste of taxpayers money on two counts. First, the state has a revenue department capable of doing such an analysis. To farm out such a project to a “third party”-at a cost of $180K-illustrates two facts:
1. Jindal's lack of faith in the Louisiana's Department of Revenue(which will have to provide the source data for such analysis anyway). (and)
2. Jindal's goal of influencing/controlling the analysis to insure the end results will support whatever financial path he has already decided on.

Jindal knows full well, atleast he should know, 25 tax exemptions account for 80% of exempted revenues, approximately 5.44 billion dollars. An analysis of all 468 exemptions is a project that could be/should be done by the LA Department of Revenue. This is a complete waste of state monies. - Greg Foreman
