Steve May clearly does not have his facts right when he chooses to deride LSU at Eunice. Yes, the elevation of LSU at Alexandria to full 4 year university status is problematic from the perspective of those who would consolidate higher education. However, LSU at Eunice is not an example of the redundancy that Mr. May thinks it is. LSUE is very clear in its mission as a 2 year campus that fills a distinct educational niche in both the prairie regions of Acadiana and in CenLa.
