hmmm, and you honestly don't see how that pushing the theocracy agenda? really? you don't see it? it's all right there. If you don't understand, truly, if you don't understand, if you cannot comprehend what those words mean, what they are trying to sell you, you don't understand anything at all my friend. It will be people like you, so easily led, so easily manipulated, so blind to the evidence in front of them, so unable to critically think, that will destroy my country.

I don't care what his other values are -if he's OK with using "thousands of right wing cell groups" (Chuck Norris's article) to violently make his vision of America come about, instead of using the electoral process, then he should be locked up. Read Norris's article -I can't believe that secessionist thinks he's "pro-American" - a guest

For anyone reading this, and is worried about Glenn Beck's principles and values, I have included them. Please note, it is a far cry from the be1ief systems held in Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the like.
1. America is good
2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.
3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

12 Values
Honesty
Reverence
Hope
Thrift
Humility
Charity
Sincerity
Moderation
Hard Work
Courage
Personal Responsibility
Gratitude

Hope you all are having a wonderful day! - a guest

Glenn Beck is an idiot. I stopped watching his show and will never watch any program of his. To make a comment that the city of New Orleans should not be rebuilt is plain ignorant; Beck showed the country what a fool he is. New Orleans is nearly 300 years old and is of great cultural and economic importance to the U.S. I'd like to inform Beck that unless the location of the Mississippi River is changed, there will always be a New Orleans. I suggest he visit the city. Only then will he realize how uninformed his comment was. - Kirby Pecot - a guest

Yes, we *get* it, and you totally failed to surround anyone. Dailykos making fun of you are the top google hits for this, and this pitiful post is the one of the top news reports about it.

EPIC FLAIL. Thanks for giving us another reason to laugh at you.

*sigh* reread and stop making assumptions.

I would not support ANYONE who wanted to turn this country into a theocracy as the We Surround Them group desires. I am anti-theocracy (which is what this groups aims for) and pro-Republican Democracy (which is our current system of government).

Any more questions? Yes, we have had our government corrupted by 8 years of neo-con ideology that has knocked us all pretty hard. Now we have a chance at repair with a new administration that holds a different ideology. Remember, the neo-conservatism failed us all. Most people with a lick of common sense would not choose to continue down a failed path.
Theocracy is a very dangerous path to take however and this is the path that We Surround Them is leading to. Remember what countries are theocracies, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Israel. Those are the countries that espouse We Surround Them's value system. That is the type of government that WE Surround them wants for the USA.

I am whole-heartedly against that, with every fiber of my being I am against turning this country that I love into a theocracy. - a guest

So if Glenn Beck wasn't a white male you would take his words at face value? Hmmm....

Regardless of background, race, religion, ethnicity, gender... we, as Americans, are America. We are the people, all of us. We see those in powerful positions saying one thing and doing another, and we know it's not right.

Our government has decided that we are owned by them, and it's just not so. - a guest

it's naive to think that glenn beck is libertarian, he isn't at all, look up what libertarians stand for and you will clearly see that the label does not fit. what does fit however, is the label of theocrat. Glenn Beck and his followers are simply theocrats whose sole interest is preserving the Christian white male privilege that they feel is now being threatened by the election to President someone who is darker than many. They feel threatened that within 30 years, Caucasian will no longer be the majority race. They feel threatened that people are turning away from religion that they will lose that control over the masses that they have enjoyed for so long. They feel threatened that women are competent and able to provide financially for their families. They feel threatened that women have choice and opportunity and make decisions for themselves that they might not agree with.

This has nothing to do with getting back to the Constitution and EVERYTHING to do with maintaining those privileges that they have enjoyed for so long. - a guest

I agree with your view that we should all be talking together.

I have been promoting this view for YEARS to all of my friends, regardless of party.

However, It is funny that only NOW, do my republican friends want to talk and find common ground.

Lets hope this does not go back to a one sided conversation.

To the previous poster:

FYI, you are not the one who is going to be surrounded.

The idea is that republicans surround dems. The idea is that the common people with common sense surround politicians who act only in their own best interest.

Glenn isn't so much a republican as an libertarian. He is encouraging all people, republicans, democrats, and others to stand up for their convictions to stop believing that we just have to take whatever our politicians do.

This is a power-to-the people thing, and you are included. I think we can all agree on many things that should be changed.

Part of the message Glenn is trying to communicate is that most citizens are not as diametrically divided like the media would have us believe. He is uniting the people behind common sense principles we can all agree on.

Isn't it nice when we can work together? - a guest
