			<description>A system without checks and balances -- creates a system of choas -- and those that have the greatest to loose are those who are academically challenged (on both ends of the paradigm).

I agree that princpals need more say in the &quot;big picture&quot; actions of their schools, but it is not the school boards that are the problem it is the out-of-touch Superintendents and their &quot;yes men/women&quot; staffs.

As for the school board members being high school graduates .... the school board should reflect the composition of the parish.  Adults that what the best for students should be the a key element -- not a stepping stone for a one-liner on a resume. - Watercooler</description>
