You know what?, The bottom line is district 24 is heavily populated with Afro Americans. Why is the crab in the barrel mentality so prevelant. There is nothing wrong with a "family" dominating politics and defending thier people. The Kennedy family is glamourized while "you" demonized the Cravins family. Amazing. Amazingly, stupid. I meet Donald Cravins Sr. one time. I CRASHED his family gathering to ask him questions that I selfishly, wanted answers to. He graciously accomodated me as if I was invited to attend and engaged my every concern. He (Cravins Sr.) actually went beyond my initial questions by giving me answers to question that I "should" have asked him. How many of you would have done that?, probably close to none. Try this on, stop crying about a whole family that is attempting to change and help (24) and ask yourself what are you and your family doing? - Rodney Morine

The Cravins offenses go way back to Sr.s near bankrupcty. Got bailed out from the Evangeline Downs manure hauling contract he got. Tried to take credit for the Wal Mart Distribution ctr moving here in spite of first voting against it and then trying to take credit for it. (The real thanks goes to Dr Hudson.) And on and on and on the Cravins clan abuses the people and community for their own purposes. Now we have Pat Cravins running so her husband can keep his power base. Oh and Pat with your love for "Putting our children first" tell us why you got fired from your teaching job in Lafayette Parish? Sorry Denni, your words are the same garbage your family has been shouting since 1992. And yes your family's legacy WILL be defined by their past political miss deeds. The truth shall prevail eventually! - Lee

Good vs. Evil. Elbert Guillory (stealing from bosses and clients, having multiple kids out of marriages that's he's in at any given time, AND running on HATE with basically nothing else to offer) defined as good is such a joke. What was good about him voting against raising minimum wage and against health insurance for children of working class parents for his very poor district?!

Vote 'em all in. They are all a joke. The district they control is in disarray and no one has any suggestions to make it better. The shooting robberies and drugs aren't going to stop with this election. It will only prolong it.

They are all crooks. They run for office because no one in the real world would ever hire a thief. - Super Awesome Comment Guy

Notice both Cravins's get their dig in about Elbert. I see words like dishonest, disingenuous, sly coming from their mouths. Like they are describing themselves. Call Cravins Sr., he won't return your phone call. Ole "pit bull of the senate" Jr., raised your deductible on homeowners insurance, voted against equal pay for women, and through his puppet Joe McPherson, rescinded and then blocked the bond to locate Southern University's Ag Center in Washington. - Phil
