You did not say it would be the ONLY way to get the notices out. But if no newspaper or organization is paid to publish the notices online -- doing it as a community service -- it�s likely no one would be at the switch all the time ensuring the notices were up in a timely manner. That scenario would leave LCG�s Web site as the only -- or most -- "official" means for disseminating this information to the public. I believe it is one of the many sites to be used, as well as the local media outlets that have websites (public service). People could opt-in for email notices, the chamber's web site could be used along with many, many other opportunities.
