Here's the interesting twist, did the photographer have a signed release from the subject in the photo. Otherwise, the musician may have a cause of action against the photographer for using his face to make money off of you. And of course, The Ind should run an article on the musician, using your own photography, saying in large letters, "Photos not taken by [photographer's name]". - Phil

While Mr Pierce and Mr May write snappy remarks, the serious question of copy write laws in our time is an interesting one. - Make mine Tang

Guess the photog decided he didn't need credit, just the check.
The Daily sent me some such snippy email after a member of our website posted a photo of theirs. I took it down, after some time, just to let them stew a little. Heaven knows the Daily wouldn't use a photo, graphic or clipart grabbed from some website or business brochure or yearbook or private album without written permission and paying for it. NAAH. Morale of story. You get what you pay for, know what I mean. - LafayetteGrapevine

Since $5 gets you a footlong at a national brand sub shop...a more than fair price for the pain suffered. - ADS

I am constantly amused by people who have such grandiose opinions of themselves as the photographer mentioned in the above story. Now, we can add his barrister to that list. Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill.... I'd love to know the names, so I could avoid both. People like that can't keep it to themselves, so I'm pretty sure, before its all over, I will know who it is..... - Myrick6
