It's quite a sad state of affairs if Louisiana is ranked number 52 on a list of 50 states in terms of vegetable and fruit consumption(must be beneath Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico.) We live in one of the most bountiful, year-round agricultural regions in the country. There is also a diet connection to healthfulness, so perhaps knowing as some scientists do, that teeth health and malformation is related to one's diet, is that this is a clear sign of our need for improvement.

This comes back to federal ag policy since the 1970's when we began overproducing grain and sugar crops. What would great grandma eat? Not a lot of the bull we call Food these days. Also, as Matt Simmons would probably reference, we waste 10 times or more in the amount of oil and gas energy to produce the food and ship it cross country or from overseas, than the food yields in calories to us to consume.

Do the math, or google it online. It's all there. - Jason D. Faulk

What a great article... Maybe the snaggle teeth of the south will get off their ass and got to the Dentist. The worst teeth in Louisiana is still straighter than the best teeth in London. - Toonces

The Rag Mag should be on the totally useless, totally clueless lists. Maybe on the "least recognizable magazine" list.... - Myrick6

Well, at least i have heard of Baton Rouge and New Orleans.

I've been reading vogue for 30 years, and quite a few other fashion magazines for almost that long, and i never have heard of this rag, i mean publication.
