Well, it's been almost 2 months and I'm still NOT listening to KXKC. So much for the ones that said I'd be back after 2 months. No Thanks! - Marie

Now, I love listening to KXKC in the morning. And what's with the oatmeal? I love oatmeal...it's really good for you! And it's much more tasteful than what I was listening to before... - Roxy

With Scott and Casey gone, I can't tell the difference between the country stations anymore. The new folks have the personality of oatmeal...nothing to either love nor hate.

BTW, tell the young lady to use her natural voice and not "amplify" the country accent...real is better. - Mosby

People stop complaining and come back to KXKC. It's great now that the previous DJ's are gone. We don't have to hear all of Scott's boohooing and rude remarks. - ractego

Scott, if you ever get a chance to read this. I listenrf from Baton Rouge. I use to listen to you and Renee. I was so sorry to hear her go and I think I remembered Casey from a Baton Rouge station that she worked at years ago, but I might be wrong there. I enjoyed you two as well. Casey was a little negative but you always picked her up and that's just life, everyone isn't chipper all the time and they need someone to pick them up! I did like Robicheaux in the evenings by himself, but I don't like him with this new girl. They sound so rehearsed. I wish you the best. They should have moved Jen with you, that would have been a good move! Thankful for the years we did get to listen. - dmorgan

Yes, Scott was a little crazy, but that's what made it interestiing. I do not like the two that are on in the morning and this has caused me to stop listening to KXKC in the morning and will possibly lead to another station altogether...DUMB MOVE on the stations part!!! - Karen

To the restaurant comment: My answer is YES, probably, since most eateries I frequent as basically the same. I HAVE done it as a matter of fact. One place I used to go to often let their chef go, and I followed that chef to the new place. I have my favorites. I frequent those places, listen to those shows, prefer certain movie houses. I LOVE being able to express my dissatisfaction, esp. in this venue. I listen to music when I'm travelling, to work or during the day and to go home, and that is mostly satellite radio, so when a favored DJ, and friend is let go, I'm tickled to death to be able to express my opinion on that. I am interested in KBON, and I'll give it a try, but I have to admit, I'm not big on "swamp pop". I'll give it a try though 'cause I'm real big into supporting local "stuff". I really don't understand anyone getting upset with people expressing their disappointment or blaming The Independent for it. I appreciate their generosity in allowing us to vent. - Myrick6

First off, Honesty - you're trying to compare a radio station to a restaurant? What you tend to overlook is the fact that Radio becomes a part much more personal part of a listener's life. They wake up people up in the morning, drive them to work, cry with them, and spend holidays with them as well. They do this everyday and it becomes an itergral part of their lives. I like it when I have the same friendly voice to turn to on the radio. When I go to a resturaunt, I don't get the same stuff like ...news, traffic, weather, great music, and a fun person to tell me jokes. Additionally, I'm almost always served by a different waiter each time. Hey congrats Scott on you're new gig. I wish you the best. I'm sure the folks in Acadiana will be ready and willing to open their wallest for a great hometown station like KBON. - Jake

I'm very happy to announce that Monday (September 21st), I'm joining the advertising sales team at 101.1 KBON. I'm SUPER excited to be working for a 'local' owner once again and look forward to seeing all of you again albeit to sell you some air time! Thank you again for all the kind words and remember to listen to 101.1 KBON, Louisiana Proud! - Scott Daniels

No it really does not hit a nerve, I don't listen to any of the stations in town, I choose satellite. I just happen to agree with the person earlier, do you stop going to a restaurant because your favorite waitress is gone? I honestly don't see all the hype, someone just told me about the article and I figured what the heck, I'd chime in. From the looks of this blog section everyone will need some luck. - Honestly

(Reuters) - Citadel Broadcasting Corp (CTDB.OB) offered a deal to exchange a major part of its debt for equity to senior lenders owed $2 billion, including JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM.N), GE Capital and ING Groep NV (ING.AS), the Wall Street Journal said, citing people familiar with the negotiations.
On Wednesday, Citadel faced a deadline to make a $2 million interest payment, but the status remained unclear, the paper added.

Discussions have slowed in recent days in part as some lenders have been caught off-guard by Federal Communications Commission rules intended to limit concentrated holdings of media firms, the people told the paper.

Citadel could not be immediately reached for a comment by Reuters.

In June, Citadel, which operates the ABC Radio Network, hired Lazard Freres as an advisor to evaluate options, including a possible refinancing and restructuring of its capital structure.

Ok, I will listen to my ipod. Guess we hit a nerve. The truth hurts doesn't it? Must be a kxkc employee who writes stuff like this. May as well tell us to listen to our ipods. When arbitron comes out, well just mark off a vote for station IPOD. Oh, and maybe someone needs to take a chill pill....come on really...get a life? As Reba sings "Is There Life Out There?". Maybe there is at the DAWG...cause that dog sure ain't dead. - Jake

Do you really think anyone cares about your comments here? Really? I've never seen such a group of babies whine so much since I visited a hospital with newborns! People get a life, things in radio change, people move on! Are you really going to tell me that your life revloved around a few DJ's? Maybe its you we need to be concerned about. Wow, turn the radio, listen to your iPod, but most importantly get a freaking life! - Honestly

I have been a faithful listener for years now and I have to say when family is family that is taking literally. The morning show is just NOT the same.. the voices of these 2 people annoy the UGH" out of me. That girl in the morning OMG like an annoying bug I now listen to CD's or the DAWG... they will pick up ratings for sure because this stupid company decided to get rid of just great people.. shame on them. I know they have let go of some other people that I adored and you know what CHUCK WOOD you need to be fired yourself. YOU are stupid! I would sit in my car while Mike Evans was doing his little gig and check it out before getting out of my car.. I enjoyed it that much. Bring Scott back if you want to get your listeners back.. YOU just SUCK it's really as simple as that! - KXKC Not in my book
