"If the money is removed, certainly the mayor would not be pleased,” Administrative Officer Dee Stanley said"

Then by all means, let's please the mayor. - Radio Controlled

The LINC plan is a solid, longterm plan that for the most part it's safe to say that the politics of old have been mitigated by a long, involved process with a series of checks and balances. This plan has been in teh works for more than 10 years, and is shepharded by one of the least political figures in Lafayette government, Mike Hollier. Hollier, for sure, doesn't seem to be benefitng from it -- the guy makes 80K a year and drives a 12 year old Honda. I should know I'm a neighbor. That being said, I doubt that Myrick has been to one LINC meeting. I have been to several. - Hot LINCs

I absolutely do not trust this "commission" or this plan. I believe many of the "volunteers" have good intentions, but I also have a very deep suspicion that this "plan" will benefit the few and not the many. I am suspicious as to what business people and property owners will benefit from the future "plans". Follow the money ! my friend says. One "plan" I can think of is the Frem Boustany/Blue Bird road to nothing and no where that benefitted WHAT FAMILY CORPORATION ??? Walter Comeaux for that road, with taxpayer money, which will run THROUGH A BASEBALL PARK AND A RECREATION CENTER AND AROUND A HIGH SCHOOL, to the benefit of a rich family coporation, who in turn made more money on it for the new Lourdes Hospital. I don't trust the LINC plan to benefit anyone but a few "friends" doing business with one another. And I'm not alone in that assumption, and THAT is why a lot of people think the $400 K could be put to better use.
