Hmmm. if i remember correctly, LINC has been funded since the last century. (no pun intended. well, then again, maybe so)
So far, it seems to fund nothing other than Mike Hollier's boring powerpoints.
how many years do we fund this thing that just sits around? nobody reads it. nobody develops according to it. Lafayette has very little undeveloped land. what's the point of "planning" now?? and since almost every inch of undeveloped land is in the unincorporated areas (which aren't governed by zoning laws) again, what's the point here?
what i've seen come out of LINC is completely unreasonable anyway. let's spend 450K on something that has a point. LINC's a joke, but i'm tired of laughing. - give me a break

Councilman Shelvin wants to take the $400k appropriated to LINC to fund other services. LINC is a real government entity set up to help plan the future layout of Lafayette...smart growth.

If Councilman Shelvin deems the "underfunded" services necessary, I have a better idea where they can get $400k....NGOs!

LINC - Real government entity
NGO - Non Government Organization

Tax dollars should be spent on real functions of government. - Cajunrunner
