That shopping center has the stench of failure all over it. No likely that anything will thrive in there. Tear it down and have a do-over, that's a very good location.

Betraying my age a bit: I remember when the Plaza Theater, a Pier One, a Wiengarten's (sp?) grocery store, K&B and Woolco occupied the Grand Marche.
Ah, those halcyon days ... - Walter Pierce, Managing Editor

Anon writes "raze the whole complex and make something more 21st century there."

First there was the Plaza Theater, a Woolco, and other assorted retailers. Shouldn't we save the buildings for there architectural elegance. ;-) - Affordable Opinion

Meh...I always thought that was a weird place for a grocery store. I personally think they ought to raze the whole complex and make something more 21st century there. - Anon

Will the store on Congress still be open? I LOVE Adrien's, esp. the salas bar! Been using that salad bar for a long time! Sorry this one had to close, but I won't mind driving a little further if Congress St. location is to remain open! - Myrick6

This stinks. It stinks for the community, employees and people like myself who go out of their way to stockpile Adrien's awesome specialty meats. My freezer is weeping today. - Jason

We were spending a lot of time in this location. Very convenient to my friends' house on Alonda. It definitely puts a hamper on our spur-of-the-moment grilling expeditions..... - SeanR
