To Clint Reno,I've spoken to a fireman that worked with Councilman Castille and he said that Councilman Castille is retired due to an on the job injury during a commercial fire. Once he retired his retirement plan was set and any raises the fire department receives will not effect his pension. - unknown

That's a good thing that Jay is trying to take care of his "peeps", as all councilmen should have the interests of the constituents that they serve as their priority. But if he stands to benefit personnaly, then who is he really trying to take care of? If that is not the case, then its great that he is supporting the firemen. I have lived on both the south and "upper Lafayette" part of town. I have questioned my respective councilman concerning issues to my district, as well as other councilmen relative to issues that have an impact on the community as a whole, and will continue to do so as a concerned tax paying citizen of this community. - Clint Reno

YA NEED TA RENAME DA POSITION "DA PRESIDENT OF LAFAYETTE/RIVAH RANCH" INSTEAD OF "LAF. PARISH PRESIDENT" !
FORGIT LAFAYETTE PARISH, JOEY DOES A GREAT JOB OF IGNORING DA PARISH !

Is Jay Castille a retired fireman? Would the proposed pay raise change any retirement benefits? Just asking. - Clint Reno
