I, forgetting to tell my parents whom are not at all racist, that she was black I brought her home for our Thanks Giving Dinner. They were polite and didn’t say a negative word to her. Upon returning back to my parent’s home a few weeks latter they politely asked me the same question, what about the children. They will be mutts, not accepted totally in society. Her, single parent, mother had told her that if she moved with me from NYC to SF that she would not finish her collage, art school. They had told us this not to stop the marriage but they didn’t want us to raise children whom would be ridiculed to no end. Well I was down south for several trips, 30 years ago and 10 years ago. To those people, if we got married and had children they would have been ridiculed and scorned to no end by southerners, black and white. I believe this is still true to this day as we can see having a black president, whom I totally support, as the issues of racial are still among us and it will still take time to, hopefully, diminish. I now live in AZ and the blacks replaced by the Mexicans not only here but across America. This is still not fair but it is the real world as Americans are racist and no different then Hitler’s approach, blame your counties failures on those that you can and in this case Americans have moved from the black to the Mexicans. I am sick of American’s attitudes as I myself am a third generation illegal American, decent of illegal that came to America to be free but they were from of Italian and German. When will Americans and other nations stop racism? I have not clue but only hope that it will change as predigest for Racial, Religious, sex and such just create issues and war that I find unacceptable.
