So, I guess this means the parish needs 14 new schools.... I'm SO disgusted with the fact the LPSS does NOT maintain the schools. Comeaux H.S. has had 10 or more "butlet building" for over 15 yrs. and that is gross negligence of the school system, including each school and the teachers and administrators. And don't tell me they can't do anything because they sure can make noise when they want $$$ in their paychecks. A HUGE percentage of my property taxes go to the school system, and some are dedicated to maintenance. IT CAN BE DONE, SCHOOLS CAN BE MAINTAINED if they're made a priority of those involved in education, but they haven't been. There are private schools in Lafayette that are old now, over 25 yrs old or older, and THEY ARE WELL MAINTAINED. If you visit them, you will see they have aged, but they are clean, repaired, not neglected because someone cares. When I saw that, I REALIZED THERE IS NO EXCUSE AND I WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT SUPPORT ADDITONAL TAXES, AND I WILL FIGHT AGAINST ADDITIONAL TAXES.
