Yee Hahh! Another steak house with peanuts on the floor (maybe). And yes it was Lone Star that closed a while back. Will this one be serving Prime Tofu? - Going Postal

No offense, but this is old news. This was reported on Twitter in September by ... well ... I don't remember who, but I remember reading it and thinking Stroud's, a local steakhouse closed, yet another franchise steakhouse is just what Lafayette needs. Go figure. Who does the market analysis' for these franchises and why do banks who finance these operations believe them? - Cajunhiker

Plumpy, it's obvious that you know nothing of this town. Machine Tools Inc. sells a ton of cnc machines in this town. This town is built on oilfield service which in turn is custom manufacturing. Why do you think that Fastenal has five locations in the area. Also, the manufacturing jobs are moving here left and right. Bedford Plastics will be opening a facility in Lafayette within the next year. Do a little research next time.

The reason for the restuarants is because of the traditions of this town. And good luck to them, of all the restuarants that open, 90% close the first year. Of the ten percent that survive, half of those close the second year. - Solutions?

The mayor thinks an auto manufacturing plant would be a polluting industry.
Just support the local proprietors that provide quality service and product, and let the chain extractors go back out of business. They ought to rename Ambassador Caffery Parkway in that area as "Capital Outflow Row", the Houston side of Lafayette, or just plain old StripMall Rowe.
Hardly the apex of civilization can that area be judged to be. - Whodidit?

Whats with all the eating joints ? Why isn't any manufacturing jobs coming to Lafayette ? I really don't understand it. Lafayette is nothing more than service orientated city. It NUT's.. - Plumpy

Weren't they in Lafayette before? What was at the corner of Ambassador Caffery & Johnston street years ago? I really don't think there is a market here for a steakhouse. Most people know where they can get a good steak, ribs, burger, chicken, etc. What we need is a REAL PIT BBQ joint.....or dive.....nothing fancy..... - Hungry*girl
