While this is not directed at this agency in particular, I've grown a little leery and weary of entities that promote themselves as non-profit or not for profit. If one has the opportunity, take a peak at the financial statements (payroll) of one of these agencies. And this information will not come from the media nor anyone associated with the agency. The neighborhood, the library and business owners have long and loudly requested that this agency provide security to the community, particularly after hours, and address some serious community issues but have long been ignored and certainly suppressed. Blogs full of information have mysteriously disappeared from cyberspace. Issues such as life time clients, public indeceny, pedophiles, criminals crossing paths with school bus stops, etc.; very serious security issues involving children even get ignored!! Demands for professional psychiatric workers and on site and live in counselors at all half way houses need to be addressed. The money is there! I think a lot of the sponsors do a lot of business with each other. I respect the effort to help, but I too believe this has probably grown too big and if the state gives 350 grand to the budget, I'd like to know what the entire budget is for this non profit.
