Rusty Cloutier is one of Lafayette's outstanding citizens and one who is greatly underpraised. Do not be deceived by Rusty's downhame dress and mannerisms. Here is a man who understands economics and our banking system. Rusty Cloutier is the genuine article. The only thing keeping him out of the naion's spotlight is his own modesty. - Ernie Alexander

Mr. Cloutier is a man of integrity and I appreciate his outspokenness on the follies of the big banks. I would like to ask him what he thinks about an even bigger issue, that being the Federal Reserve itself and its habit of creating bubbles with artificially low interest rates, encouraging a culture of debt and wild spending. Is a private, secretive central bank based on fractional reserve lending and fiat currency really a good way to run our economy? I would think that a community banker might have different ideas. - JP
