Lets see....hookers getting screwed, or the entire American public...interesting choice. Bottom line, left or right, they are all corrupt, worried only about their own self interests. - Clint Reno

LOL this is priceless.
I'm sure the Fox types will have plenty to justify this. however, i think we should all admit that, no matter what they found by tapping our Democrat senator's phones, they wouldn't have found any calls from a HOOKER, as they probably would find if they tapped our Republican senator's phones.

The same crowd that bloviates about Ms. Landrieu's political philosophy and voting record being a "liberal" one are also the same one who charge the President with being an ardent revolutionary.

Obviously, both are complete (and sometimes annoyingly so) centrists. They simply just don't make the case strongly enough to narrate the story of their position and philosophy of governing, because it's not sexy to be a centrist. Who's going to get fired up by that term?
Liberal and Conservative are far more attractive terms, whether used as a perjorative against your adversary or as a Badge of Honor.

Personally, I'm way more aggravated that Senator Louisiana-Polluter-interest-group-for-hire there co-sponsored the Murkowski Amendment to gut the protections of the Clean Air Act.

Thanks for nothing Mary. I would have expected that of Vitter... but considering the position of fear you must operate from, constantly having to look out for a rabid right-wing leaning electorate in this state waiting to toss you out of office, it seems you are more easily compromised than a Republican would be towards boot-stepping with the big business and polluter factions that run the show called Louisiana.

I hope would be Senator Melancon could do better, but so far, the record does not inspire confidence that he can persuasively lead a stubborn, conventional-thinking state out of spiting itself.

Remember that old saying about "let them freeze in the dark"?
In the future, they'll be saying about Louisiana, "let them drown in the sea." - Unempirical Observer

Ah, little pseudoconservatives trying to make a name for themselves. I guess in their minds illegal activity is OK as long as it serves their ideology. I'm sure the sympathizers on hate radio will have all kinds of rationalizations for O'Keefe and the gang. - snarky

Dear PIP: What?! Wiretapping a US senator a good idea? Kinda like the invasion of Iraq, deregulating the banking industry, soliciting for homosexual encounters in a public restroom, cavorting with New Orleans prostitutes, having Holy Annointment in the Wasilla Assembly of God for protection from witchcraft (on video no less), founding a museum that teaches that human beings rode around on the backs of dinosaurs. These folks are a veritable fountain of good ideas. Mary's votes and positions on every issue are a matter of public record, she knows how the game is played and is hardly a left-wing subversive. - Rough Beast

wow, overprivlidged, pompus jerks get busted breaking a federal law in the pursuit of ideological bs. Sure, I bet the senator has some crooked ways- what senator doesn't, but you cant break federal laws to set someone up...
Guess asking those young men to do a honorable job, like welding, or teaching kids is out of the question... Meanspirited old white men are giving them money to continue their quest to ruin their president's image. - jb
